如何駕車遊[富良野]和[美瑛]?

因為有很多舊有文章沒有了! 找不到之前一眾資深網友談論去[富良野]和[美瑛]一帶賞花的資料, 所以想請那些夏天去過[北海道]的過來人, 可否講返以前的經驗? 等我地plan 定明年去的網友可以作為參考! :love:

如果不是自行租車遊覽，在道央一帶的交通有些不便。很多時過了一班車，就要再等下一兩小時。想要有一個完美的賞花旅程，交通的配套要預早安排好，那就要在時刻表上多花點時間了。

I went to this pension last year. There is independent cottage and has a beautiful view facing 十勝岳. Also, only 5-10 mins (car) to 富田農場 (the host can drive you there).

Do you/your beloved have driving licence? ??: If so, I suggest you renting car to get around Furano/Biei. 8-)

My experience is that if drive, you could visit at least 5-6 scenic spots each day with comfort and ease. No need to worry about the bus schedule and where to get off the bus. Also, if you would like to join the pratical seesion of the workshops (like the one in Flowerland (making candle, pillow etc.) and Cheese Workshop (making bread, ice cream and butter etc.), you may need to spend 20-30 mins there only for the practical seesion. Unless you could arrange your visit prefectly fitted with the bus schedule, you may need to scale down your visit/no. of spot to match the bus freqency. :-)

So think about driving, if possible.

Holding HK driving licence, you need to apply for an international driving licence to drive in Japan. The details are as follows:

My personal view is that if you could drive, driving should be the best choice. The scenic points in Furano/Biei are scattered and far away from each other. More, if drive, you could stay one night in Furano just to avoid going far and back between Furano and Biei. You could use your time much more efficiently. D

Just my personal view. Trust the other experts could have more insights.

More, don't worry about getting lost when drive. Most of the road signs are in Chinese and English. Ask for a driving map in car rental company/gas station.

I rarely drive in HK. But I didn't get lost during my trip in Hookaido. Driving there should not be a difficult task (onyl for Summer not sure for Winter). 8-)

I presume the car is normally with auto gear. Upon your request, they could arrange manual one for you.

About driving in Furano, I strongly suggest you taking a look on fongdav's page (http://www.geocities.com/fongdav/hokkaido/index.html) in which I have nothing to supplement. It is even more informative than the guidebooks at the bookstores which tell little about driving in Hokkaido.

I bought the air package of CX which included 3 days car rental. I extended to 7 days (extension charge: HK$304/car/day). If local agents like Toyota, Honda, Mazada etc., it costs about 5,000 to 6,000 yen/day/car (1,300 cc or below with umlimited mileage). Insurance charge is about 1,000 yen/car/day.

仲有，有車就可揀D又平又正既住宿，選擇多好多！(其實我冇車牌，唔應該o係度扮代表！)

剛看完cn 給我的網址, 發現可以在[旭川]租車, 所以我打算從[札幌]坐JR 去到[旭川], 在該處租車後去[美瑛]和[富良野]玩, 兩日後在[旭川]還車, 那就可以不必擔心天氣太壞 又或 路途太遠, 可輕輕鬆鬆遊覽[富良野]各處景點了! 真係多謝大家的報料!!!

Driving car is a very good supplement to your JR pass. I also think that driving between big cities is a bit wasting of time and money, but it is worthwhile to drive inside a city. So, I used JR pass last time for "inter-city" travel, and then rent the car to go around in 富良野 and 美瑛.

You will feel the comfort and freedom compared to just taking train/bus or bicycle there (I think riding on bicycle on those two famous route in 美瑛 is not that easy!)

Especially during bad whether (hope you will not encounter this), I saw others holding umbrella and waiting for bus / moving their bicycle in great effort, while I could still go anywhere I like.

You already have a good advantage to move ahead that both of you can drive.

Re the pension, I would go there next time as I missed the view. Besides, including their "main building", in total they could only take 3-4 families / parties, it is pretty quiet and enjoyable.

Yes, same as your plan. I took and returned the car at "旭川station前" shop. YIt is just few minutes walk from the station. You could find it in :

You could also consider to pick up at one shop and return at another depends your itinerary. For example, pick up at 旭川 and return at 富良野. You could then take the special JR lavender train from there to elsewhere. See below:

通常在外國租車時, 油缸都是滿的, 之後到你還車時, 你一定要重新入滿油缸還給租車公司, 否則便要付油錢給對方! 換言之, 駕車時用了多少油, 都是由你來負責的. :-)
